PacifiCare's Migration Starts with January 1st Renewals
As a reminder, your groups on the PacifiCare SignatureElite plans will be moved off their current platform. A letter went out a few months ago to your clients letting them know their plan would not be available at time of renewal. UnitedHealthcare is pleased to offer the SignatureElite Plus products as well as the UnitedHealthcare products as options to your client.
In your renewal, you will find that UnitedHealthcare has recommended a product for your client and included other product options.
If your client chooses the recommended option, the only action needed is to
complete the required New Employer Application. If an alternate
option is selected, a New Employer Application is required as well as the
Alternate Plan Selection Form. These forms can be returned to us by fax
at (972) 991-2110 or by email at renewals@insxch·com. Current members will NOT
need to fill out enrollment forms, only new employees being added to the plan.
Groups with life coverage will have a similar plan option in their renewal
package. To move your dental or vision coverage with your medical policy, you
will need to notify our office or select the option on the Alternate Plan
Selection Form.
Please note that due to the billing cycle, written confirmation of your group's decision is needed 30 days prior to the renewal date. Plan changes will be accepted up to the 20th day of the month prior to your renewal date. However, if written confirmation is not received 30 days prior to the renewal date, UnitedHealthcare will move your group to the recommended plan and the bill will reflect the new rates.
Policy documents and id cards will be mailed out approximately two weeks before the renewal date. However, if a plan change is made after that date, the documents will be reissued once installation has completed the plan change.
