UHc Retroactive Policy Terminations No Longer Accepted
UnitedHealthcare of Texas and Oklahoma will no longer accept retroactive
group policy terminations effective January 1st 2010. The local sales
office must be notified in writing of a group's intent to terminate their
insurance policy by the last business day of the preceding month for the
contract to be terminated on the first of the following month.
Please note that in the event notification is received on or after the first
business day of the month, the contract will be terminated on the first of the
subsequent month and UnitedHealthcare will require premium to be paid for the
remainder of the month in which notification was received.
