PDL and Benefit Plan Updates to be Implemented July 1, 2010
These updates represent a small percentage of all prescriptions – no medications in the top 50 – but represent a significant savings for you with minor disruption for your employees.
Among the updates are several medications that will be excluded from benefit coverage. These medications are minimally used so very few employees will be impacted. While UHC does realize any impact is difficult, they only make exclusions based on clinical evidence and when equally effective alternatives are available.
